After several days of voting and voting in favor of the extension for the departure, Theresa May already has a new date for the Brexit

Brexit: the final day is approaching

Just three days from the original date on which the departure from the United Kingdom, March 29, would take place, the European Union agreed to extend the deadline with some conditions. However, they rejected the original date proposed by May (June 30) but instead proposed two dates. According to the BBC, the proposed dates are May 22 or April 12.

What does it depend on that the Brexit is carried out in one of these two dates? The European Union gave an ultimatum: if in the next voting the English parliament agrees with the proposal by May, the departure will take place in May, similarly, the United Kingdom will have to approve the necessary legislation to make the exit of form ordered. However, if no agreement is reached, the date will be even shorter and will be held in April and the United Kingdom "will indicate how to proceed before that date arrives", according to La Vanguardia.

Faced with the above, May said that "the time has come to make a decision and I will do everything I can to ensure that we leave (the EU) with an agreement". Likewise, the new departure dates do not guarantee that the Brexit will be stopped on March 29. This depends on whether the parliament succeeds in changing the law, otherwise, on Friday, the United Kingdom will say goodbye to the European Union without an agreement to handle the transition.

However, for several experts, the tempting date is April 12 and Parliament seems to be comfortable with it since that day is the last to decide British participation in the parliamentary elections. As the BBC indicates, "if by then the British parliament has not approved an exit agreement, but has agreed on a strategy to overcome the impasse, then the EU could approve a much larger extension".

The key to the exit is given with an agreement, something controversial in the last voting since the opposition has rejected the various attempts of May is that they give in to what May proposed. To extend the date until May, the United Kingdom would have to participate in the elections in the United Kingdom, and with more time could be considered different options, such as the revocation of Article 50, new general elections or a second referendum, according to ABC.

Meanwhile, the British began signing an online petition calling for the revocation of Article 50 and for the United Kingdom to stay in the European Union, as 20 Minutes tells it. The petition, signed by almost 4 million Britons, and which began in February, had a significant increase on Friday, where around two million people signed it.

By exceeding the 100,000 signatures needed, Parliament will be able to consider it for a debate and to exceed 10,000 the government will have to respond. Thus, more than three million people agree that "the government repeatedly affirms that leaving the EU is 'the will of the people'. We have to put an end to this claim by demonstrating the strength of public support now, to stay in the EU. A popular vote may not happen, so vote now, "as the petition indicates. According to the same media, the Petitions Committee stated that "the rate of signatures has been the highest since the creation of the site."
