BOGOSHORTS world tour is an initiative of the BOGOSHORTS Movement and the Bogotá Short Film Festival - BOGOSHORTS for the international promotion of Colombian talent in the short film format.
BOGOSHORTS world tour is an initiative of the BOGOSHORTS Movement and the Bogotá Short Film Festival - BOGOSHORTS for the international promotion of Colombian talent in the short film format. Since 2013, this program has established itself as a platform for the international recognition of Colombian filmmakers and their works in different international stages, in Brazil, Panama, Mexico, the United States, Canada, Spain, France, Germany, Lithuania and Australia.
In 2017 the tour begins with a focus of Colombian short films at the 47th Tampere Film Festival, Finland, held from March 8 to 12. This festival is one of the main platforms for Finnish filmmakers, which has national and international short film competitions, special programs, retrospectives, as well as conferences and workshops for professionals in the film industry. For this edition, based on an alliance between the festival and the BOGOSHORTS Movement, and within the framework of the BOGOSHORTS world tour program, three diverse and exciting short film programs have been developed to highlight the positive state of Colombian cinema production and connect our production with the vitality of Finnish short film.

At the same time, Jaime E. Manrique, director of the Bogotá Short Film Festival - BOGOSHORTS and founder and director of Laboratorios Black Velvet, an integral film management company, will be part of the jury of the International Competition of the Tampere Film Festival. Manrique has been the director of communications and release campaigns for more than 40 Colombian films and film festivals, including the Cartagena International Film Festival - FICCI - since 2011. He is the creator and editor of PANTALLA COLOMBIA, weekly newsletter of Colombian cinema, owned by Proimágenes Colombia. He has worked as a film analyst for more than 15 magazines in recent years, and as a professor at the universities Externado de Colombia, Jorge Tadeo Lozano and Politécnico Grancolombiano.
The next stop of BOGOSHORTS world tour will be the Colombian Film Festival in Berlin, Panorama Colombia. The main objective of this event is to welcome Berliners and the German public in general, to the diversity, authenticity and quality of Colombian cinema. BOGOSHORTS will arrive in Berlin with a special selection of fiction and documentary short films that were part of the National Competition of the last edition of the festival, held from December 6 to 13, 2016.
Among them are, in the fiction program, 7ún3l by Klych López, Genaro by Jesús Reyes and Andrés Porras, Teiko by Daniel Ochoa, Los pasos del agua by César Acevedo, Pichirilo by Daniel Alberto Sánchez Rodríguez and La niña de la busetaby Pedro Pío, winner of the Saint Lucía to Best Fiction Short Film, Best Director and Best Actress at the 14º BOGOSHORTS. The documentary program is composed by La Favorita by María Fernanda Ariza Orozco, Caminitos por el parqueby Daniela Anaya Robayo, Verde Manzana by Ana María Ferro Gómez, Categoría V by Camilo Agudelo Gómez and Piel de Cemento by Daniel Gómez Restrepo.
