In the words of Rosa María Rodríguez, manager of the FEMSA Cultural Program, the gallery is divided into two nuclei that house the exhibition: The first is called "Conditioners of modernity" which aims to show the way in which the body, the image, memory, and language were conceptualized in the twentieth century.

While the second "Contemporary Heterogeneities" directs the viewer's gaze to their environment, seeking to achieve a reflection on daily life and the challenges facing society. In these two nuclei, the assistant will be able to approach the thought, projections and contradictions related to the memory and the current idea of the society that was living the 20th century and now the 21st century.

FEMSA has more than 125 years of history in which it has also promoted a great diversity of initiatives that focus on the social and environmental economic development of the communities where it is present.

The collection was founded in 1977 and currently has more than one thousand two hundred works of modern and contemporary Latin American art. Artistic techniques such as sculpture, drawing, painting, photography, installation, and graphics are of the disciplines that make up this exhibition that includes works developed in the XX and XXI century.

This type of exhibitions can not only be seen in Mexico since they are also taken to other countries in Latin America with the aim of promoting education through artistic and cultural events.

The Cervantino International Festival is one of the most significant cultural and artistic activities in Mexico and Latin America, it occupies a special place among the four most important festivals of its kind worldwide. Music, opera, theater, dance, plastic arts, literature and audiovisual media are some of the artistic specialties that can be appreciated once again in this event.
