Colombia makes history at the US Open Junior

Originally from Cucuta, María Camila Osorio has awarded Colombia another victory in Tennis. After the pair composed of Robert Farah and Juan Sebastián Cabal won the final in Wimbledon and the recent version of the US Open, Osorio was crowned champion of the junior version of the American competition.

Osorio, only 17 years old, advanced to the finals of the tournament after defeating Russian tennis player Oksana Slekhmeteva. The Colombian recovered from a first set in which she was losing 0-3. According to Fedecoltenis, Osorio became the second Colombian to qualify for a singles final of a Grand Slam Junior and the first in the Us Open Junior.

This is how Osorio went to the finals of this tournament.
