Matt Cutts is an experienced engineer with a history of working in the private industry for big companies like Google. He has also worked for the government at the Office of Management and Budget. In his Ted Talk, Cutts follows the footsteps of the documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock and tries something new for 30 days. According to the engineer, it turns out that 30 days is just enough time to get rid of a bad habit or start adding a new practice into your life. His proposal for breaking out of your shell is to make your time memorable and start having your dream life.

Be an Opportunity Maker

Kare Anderson is an Emmy-winning former NBC and WSJ reporter. Nowadays, she is a speaker on ways to be more deeply connected with audiences and be widely quoted. In her Ted Talk, she opens up about her experience helping others to discover their talents and passions. According to Kare, the best way to become successful is to become an opportunity makes for others. Using everyones' talent for the greater good is the key to accomplish big things. She says, "if you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room." For Kare, it's our capacity to connect with others' better side and bring it out that genuinely makes us more empathic and happy.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Susan David is the "creator of the concept of Emotional Agility and uses this lens in her consulting, coaching, and keynotes, and in the development of psychometric tools to analyze, assess, and develop these skills." Before becoming a Ted speaker, she worked for 12 years as an Instructor at the Department of Psychology of Harvard Medical School. In her talk, she talks about how our emotions shape everything that matters in our lives. Through a life-changing speech, the expert makes a deep reflection regarding the meaning of life and the importance of our feelings.

The Power of Vulnerability

Brené Brown is a researcher and storyteller that has spent two decades studying vulnerability, empathy, shame, and courage. Her wise words regarding the power of vulnerability are one of the most viewed Ted Talks of all time. According to her, shame is described as the fear of thinking that we are not good enough. However, she found out that for a real connection to happen, our true self needs to be seen, which means that vulnerability is an essential part of us. Having a strong sense of love and belongingness makes us recognize that we are worthy of a fulfilling life.

In conclusion, feeling fear, shy, or being intimidated by others is natural. Nevertheless, stepping out of our comfort zone is a great way to grow and keep evolving into the person we want to be.
