5 cases of players who were fined for partying too hard

That the players are partakers of parties and go out to celebrate is nothing new in the world of football. Many times we envy them when they upload photos or stories on their Instagram accounts showing how the environment is. But other times, social networks are the key to betray until what time they went partying.

This is why in LatinAmerican Post we show you five players who went out and were fined for doing so just before an important event.

1. The Porto combo

Argentina's Agustín Marchesín and Renzo Saravia and Colombians Mateus Uribe and Luis Díaz were fined by Porto, a Portuguese club, when it became clear that they were at a party until 5:00 in the morning. According to the club's rules, players can be partying until 11:00 at night. However, in a publication on the same social network, Uribe states that the party did not extend until the hours indicated above.

The reason for the celebration was the birthday of Mateus Uribe's wife, Cindy Álvarez García, who did not contain the emotion and decided to upload the stories to her Instagram, which exceeds 300,000 followers. Thanks to this, both the fans and the club realized what happened.

Porto did not like the celebration since it took place one day after the defeat in the Europa League against the Rangers, 2-0. In addition, according to Gol Caracol, the day after the party, the players had training "for the game with Boavista." According to the Portuguese newspaper A Bola, the four players would be fined a lot of money.

2. In Uruguay also happens

According to the newspaper El Observador, "in Uruguay, this type of situation is not usual, but little by little the clubs are shaping towards that, to set guidelines and rules of behavior that can lead to punishment." Well, the National players of that country, Sergio Rochet and Pablo "Pitu" Barrientos were sanctioned for being partying until late at night.

Again thanks to social networks, the club and fans realized that the players were partying just one day after the elimination of the Copa Libertadores. In this regard, the club said that the players "can leave, but with caution and prudence (…) the players of the National know what the limits are," as the same media replies. The immediate penalty was to remove them from the game that was played against Boston River.

3. Pablo Armero

In May of this year, the Colombian defender was involved in a scandal that had strong consequences at the sports level. The revelations came to light thanks to the newspaper Globo Esporte, who reported that Armero, along with the steering wheel Andrés Ramiro 'Manga' Escobar and the Argentine Maidana were at a party “when they shouldn't”.

By the time, both Manga and Maidana were on leave for suffering from physical discomfort, however, Armero was summoned for the match against Porto Alegre International. Through a statement, the Brazilian club, Centro Sportivo Alagoano, said players would be fined 20 percent corresponding to their salary; they also notified the impending departure of Armero. Shortly after what happened, the Colombian found a new team, the Guaraní, where he currently plays at.

4. Alexis Vega

The Mexican Alexis Vega, Chivas player, starred in a scandal last September. As shown in a video that circulated on social networks, Vega was partying and celebrating along with several alcoholic drinks, the night before the game against Atlas.

The club's director, Mariano Varela, affirmed that “I talked with him and he is going to see an internal economic sanction (…) he is a good boy, but he knows that there are moments, he is aware, there is a regulation and we must apply it”. As revealed by Total Soccer, the fine of the forward was around 120 thousand Mexican pesos.

5. The Premier League scandals

The Premier League is not only known for its good football, but also for the love scandals of its players and the constant parties. The latest scandal was uncovered by the British newspaper Daily Star Online, which states that several of the most important parties would be participating in the popular company of girls "Cinderella Escorts."

According to The Digital Closing, the players held millionaire parties on private yachts or in mansions. In addition, one of these escorts, Ksenia, said that in one of these parties “everyone was drunk and danced until 9 in the morning. All the men jumped into the pool with their clothes on and no matter where, the women kissed with the players.” So far the names of the players who have been involved in these parties have not been revealed, but if known, heavy fines would be expected.
