The Colombian Post Talk, Tell, Post - Simón Bolivar Park : One of our Cultural symbols.

Simón Bolivar Park : One of our Cultural symbols.

We live in Monteria, a quiet city in the Caribbean coast of Colombia,  here we are friendly and happy people, who have seen how this small city has been growing throughout the years  and a good example of it, is the Simón Bolivar park, which is the main park of Monteria and It is in front of the cathedral which is a white church that represents how catholic Monterian people are.

We went to the park to interview citizens to see what did they think about this representative park and the changes that it has had. So, we talk to an elderly man who was sitting on a bench in the middle of the park, watching the doves, which are all the time flying and waiting for people to give them food around the park, To the question Do people keep the park clean? he answered, " sometimes it does, but there are days that people do not keep it clean."

Student: Has this park been changed?

Elderly man: It has changed quite a lot, since before this one there was nothing here.

thus, a woman who sells in a grocery talked about the past of the park and she answered to the following questions:

St: What do you think of the security in this place?

Mrs: the park has good security.

Miller: Is the park always clean?

Mrs: sometimes, it is but some days people do not keep it clean.

Miller: Are you a tourist or a resident of the city?

Mrs: No, I live here since I was born.

Miller: ok, thank you for your time.

Then we interviewed a young woman  who said what she thought of the security of the park:

  Mauricio: hello, how are you?

  Elena: hi, I'm fine.

Mauricio: How do you find security in this park?

Elena: Here you feel safe because there is always surveillance, there is the courthouse at the 27th and third and fourth police and security is felt.

Mauricio: Have you had problems with people with mental disabilities?

Elena: no, because if we keep distance and when they ask you for water or bread, you give them they just
